The Lines of Longitude – determinants of ones position in terms of navigation was a crucial puzzle to be solved in the early era of English naval dominance. Clockmakers, like Thomas Earnshaw, the often heralded "father of the modern chronometer" were celebrated for their genius in helping to navigate the world's oceans. Thomas Earnshaw and his famed chronometers were rewarded and recognized by the Board of Longitude in 1805 for their work in helping to open up the seas to safe and accurate passage around the world. The LONGITUDE timepiece from Earnshaw is a fitting tribute to the ingenuity , intelligence and grace in design of the works from Earnshaw. This was my very first Thomas Earnshaw watch and it got me hooked immediately. The details are beautiful and I can’t stop looking at it when I wear it. Neither can the people around me. Really like this watch. light weight and very comfortable to wear. Great look, and often receive many compliments when I have it on. The only downside is that it now takes priority wear out of my watch collection, as being to only automatic i need to wear it more often to keep it active. Still, worse promlems to have!

It's a beautiful timepiece, and beautifully packaged too. Mine appears to be gaining around one minute each day, however I'm sure there's an easy way to rectify this. All in all very happy indeed, it's fascinating watching the precision movement. A classy item.
